FAQs

  • The old adage is that snowboarding is harder to learn and easier to master, and skiing is the opposite. Also, snowboarding is typically a bit rougher on the body for a beginner, as more balance is required to stay upright. Be prepared to fall a lot if you are learning to snowboard. Skiing (or even snowtubing) may be a better option for anyone who has back/knee/wrist issues.

  • Ticket types are not customizable. Pricing is based on group discounted rates that include minimum purchase requirements, and averaged to help cover subsidized tickets.

  • We highly recommend dressing in warm, flexible clothing, with water-proof outerlayers. Standard snow gear includes wool socks, warm baselayers, snowpants, weather proof coat, weather proof gloves, neck gator, and goggles. Rental helmets are insulated so thin hats under them are optional. Baselayers don’t need to be fancy. Yoga pants, sweatpants, hoodies, etc. work just fine. Layers are also a good idea, so you can pare down if you get too warm.

  • Yes! We have a very limited stock of water proof coats, snowpants, gloves, goggles, wool socks, and neck gators. Inquire about borrowing items via the registration form.
